Following the completion of the mission, NASA presented the astronauts with controllers retrieved from the spacecraft, but they reportedly declined the gift. #NASA1 is the original space-flown secondary rotational attitude control stick used by Buzz Aldrin to pilot the Command Module, “Columbia,” during the Apollo 11 mission. Mounted on a custom display with an Apollo 11 mission patch, #NASA1 also comes with its original parts removal tag dated September 22, 1969.
