’88 Super Mario Bros. 2

#88MARIO, graded Wata 9.8 A+, is the single highest graded sealed copy of the 1988 Super Mario Bros. 2 video game in known existence. The follow-up to Nintendo’s 1985 smash-hit, Super Mario Bros., Nintendo feared that the original Japanese release would prove too difficult for the U.S. audience and famously swapped it out for a redesigned version of the game “Doki Doki Panic” before it arrived stateside. Though Super Mario Bros. 2 featured noticeably different gameplay from the rest of the series, the game went on to sell over 7 million copies.
