Originally designed as a tool watch for Pan Am pilots in the 1950’s, Rolex’s GMT-Master received a luxurious upgrade with the release of the all gold ref. 16758 in 1980. Sporting an 18k yellow gold case, bezel and Jubilee bracelet, #GMTBLACK1 is a 1985 GMT-Master ref. 16758 with original box and papers. This model is the last precious gold Rolex equipped with the coveted black “nipple dial”, which features pointed hour indexes with yellow-gold surrounds.
