’61 Marvel Fantastic Four #1
Tasked in the early ’60s with creating a superhero team to rival DC Comics’ Justice League, Stan Lee joined forces with artist Jack Kirby to create the Fantastic Four. The 1961 release of “The Fantastic Four #1” was a first in many respects: the first collaboration between the legendary writer-artist duo of Lee and Kirby, the first comic book published under the “Marvel” name, and the first appearance/origin of the Fantastic Four. #FANFOUR1 is an original copy of “The Fantastic Four #1” and one of only 18 examples with a grade of CGC VF+ 8.5, placing it in the top 2.2% of all graded copies.
