In the early 1950s, superhero comics had become controversial and were dealing with struggling sales. When the DC comic book entitled Showcase took a chance on an old superhero, The Flash, the title introduced a completely revised version of the dated character. This revamp helped to usher in the Silver Age of comics, an era of comic book superheroes with modern costumes, contemporary secret identities, and real-world concerns and weaknesses. #SHOWCASE4 is a 1956 Showcase #4 Comic Book graded CGC 7.5 and a copy of what many consider the first Silver Age comic ever printed.
