The game was totally absurd — basketballs were known to catch fire, gravity was more of a suggestion, and characters like Bill Clinton and Al Gore popped up as easter eggs. It became the most successful arcade game of all time, so it was an easy decision to port NBA Jam to the Sega Genesis.
